The most inaccessible corners of the National Park Lanin are not so if you approach them by water. You will visit lakes, lagoons, streams and different volcanic formations. Always guarded by the imposing presence of Lanin Volcano.

San Martín de los Andes
The lakes of Patagonia
We will have breakfast and then leave early in the morning to Currhue Lake (2 hours). Equipment preparation and designment of the canoes. Once ready, we will start our first approach to the canoes paddling one third of Curruhe Lake´s length. After lunch, we will go to Green Lagoon. We will organize the camp and then paddle the lagoon to warm water natural pools formed by the escorial.First camping night.
Paddling time: 3 hours.
Achen Niyeu Volcano
Early in the morning, we will start our hike towards Achen Niyeu Volcano base and the Cascada del Portezuelo. This day, we will only take the necessary things for the day in a small backpack. We will walk through a forest path that disappears as we gain altitude, to be replaced by a huge volvanic sand valley. In the afternoon, we will go back to our base camp in the Green Lagoon. Second camping night.
Trekking time: 5 hours.
Paddling in the blue lakes
Transfer by van to Puerto Encuentro, in the shore of Epulafquen Lake (9 kms), to settle our next camp. Now that we have more experience, we will paddle Epulafquen Lake´s south coast towards a volcanic formation known as El Escorial. It is a dried volcanic lava river, an unique formation due to its characteristics. Third camping night.
Paddling time: 3 hours.
The Mapuche culture
This day we will paddle the last corner of Epulafquen Lake towards Huechulafquen Lake. We will have lunch at a beach of black volcanic sand. Then we will paddle towards Paimun Lake, to our next camp.
We will camp at Payalafquen family, members of a original Mapuche community. Fourth camping night.
Paddling time: 4-6 hours.
Riding through the forests
Equipment preparation and designment of the horses. Once ready, we will start our ride at the south base of Lanin Volcano. We wil ride through characteristic forests of the Patagonia, going uphill through narrow paths until we arrive to the top of the Saltillo waterfall. After lunch, we will start our descend through a wood road, towards Paimun Lake shore. Fifth camping night.
Riding time: 4 hours.
Paimun Lake
In our last day, we will paddle Paimun Lake towards Paraje Aila. In the afternoon, we return to our camp. Transfer to your boutique hotel in San Martín de los Andes to spend the night after a farewell dinner in a typical restaurant.
